Get Connected: Don’t be just a pew sitter

So many Christians today think just going to church will be good enough to get you into heaven. Why not just walk through the church doors sit in a pew for one hour a week. Pay your dues to God & your respects to the pastor. Sprint out the door & live your life how You want to live it the rest of week. You’ve earned it, you work hard all week, your deserve it right? WRONG!!

Revelation 3:16 ‘So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.

  • This may come as a shock to some, but everyone of us will have to make an account for our lives before God almighty.

  • The question is when we come face to face the creator of the universe…is PEW SITTING gonna be all you have to show for yourself?

If we believe in Jesus as our Lord & savior listen to what he commands of us

Revelation 3:19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent.

Here is the part that SOO many Christians miss. Everyone wants to be a disciple of Jesus yet many fail to realize the word disciple comes from the word Discipline. The hardest two words in the English language is, “I’m sorry”. Nobody likes to admit when they’re wrong, let alone change their ways. As disciples of Jesus, that is EXACTLY what we are called to do daily. We are called to sit at the foot of the cross of Jesus daily while carrying our own.

“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”

– Martin Luther King Jr.
